New resources for defense contractors
Two things popped up in my LinkedIn feed this week that are worth sharing.
Supply chain security handbook
The National Defense-ISAC recently released its Securing Small Business Manufacturing Supply Chain Resource Handbook, an excellent work:
This product was developed for two primary groups of stakeholders:
1. U.S. Government Personnel and large Prime Contractors -- to explain common scenarios these stakeholders may not be aware of that impact security guidelines and requirements.
2. Small businesses operating in the manufacturing supply chain -- to offer practical steps both in immediate actions and long-term strategic planning to secure data and minimize risk.
Survey for small defense contractors
John Hopkins University's Applied Physics Laboratory is conducting an anonymous survey of small defense contractors to learn more about the challenges they face in implementing NIST 800-171. The goal is to synthesize responses and communicate this information to DoD leadership. The survey takes 5-10 minutes and starts here. Responses are due by May 19.
