Good morning, everyone!
This week’s critical vulnerabilities:
Patch All the Things! |
Beware of Pirated Software
A Ukrainian utility company was recently infected with malware because an employee downloaded a pirated copy of Microsoft Office from a file sharing website.
CERT-UA said torrented software is a common pathway for infection. "In addition to Microsoft Office software products, there are known cases of infection, including when installing operating systems downloaded from unofficial sources, as well as other programs like scanners, password recovery tools, etc."
Make sure that your employees and your family members understand the dangers of pirated software. Not only is it illegal, it is potentially dangerous.
Have a cyber safe week!
